We offer specialist pelvic floor assessments for women experiencing symptoms such as stress incontinence, urinary leakage, urgency, or other bladder concerns. Our aim is to help you understand what's behind your symptoms and support you with a personalised plan to help you feel and function better.
We’ll start with a friendly, relaxed conversation about your symptoms, medical history, and anything you’ve already tried. This helps us build a clear picture of how best to support you.
You may be asked to complete a short bladder diary to track habits and patterns. This helps us create targeted, effective strategies for improving your symptoms.
If you experience pelvic, back, or abdominal discomfort, we may assess how your back, hips, pelvis, and abdominal muscles are working. We can also check for diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation) during pregnancy or after birth.
A vaginal internal examination may be offered to assess pelvic floor strength and function. This is always explained clearly, carried out only with your full consent, and completely optional. You’re welcome to bring a support person or request a chaperone ahead of time.
After your assessment, we’ll talk you through our findings and work with you to develop a personalised treatment plan designed to improve your comfort, confidence, and quality of life.
